Irving 4 is proceeding nicely. Here is my reaction to today's marathon writing session.
Well, that was a blur. it was thrilling and exciting to push myself . I wrote 6,000 words in eight and a half hours. I will definitely need to tighten it up, but it's nice to embrace the creative momentum.
One more day in the studio to write before I start back with my class of great fifth graders. I wrote 44,000 words in the last two and a half weeks and will try to go for broke and hit 50,000 tomorrow.

6000 words in a day? Wow. That's what I call impressive!
The most I ever managed in a day was 4000 during NaNoWriMo. I was behind in my daily word count and had to catch up. I was wrung out by the end of that sprint!

It does take a toll. I'm a little spent after it. We'll see how far i can get today.
